Cleveland Restoration Society invites its members to a SNOOP! tour at Blanket Mills Apartments.
Come explore Cleveland’s lively Clark-Fulton neighborhood with us on our next SNOOP! tour, where we’ll step inside the newly transformed Northern Ohio Blanket Mills – now a mix of affordable apartments and essential community services after a long and challenging $30 million makeover.
Built in phases between 1889-1900, the facility was once the largest producer of wool horse blankets and carriage robes in the country. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
It took 10 years of dedication and persistence for developers Metro West Community Development Organization and the Levin Group to complete this project, which won our “Distinguished Community Impact Award” at the 2025 Celebration of Preservation Awards.
The Blanket Mills Apartment project transformed one of the largest vacant sites in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood into a fully renovated, two-acre residential community that both preserves local history and expands affordable housing options.
Clark-Fulton—Cleveland’s most densely populated neighborhood and home to its largest Latino community—offers vibrant cultural destinations nearby. During your visit, consider stopping by CentroVilla25, a new Latino market and food hall featuring cuisine from across Latin America and a variety of Latino-owned shops, all set within a bright, welcoming space.
