The Jesse Owens Family Home, located at 2178 E. 100th Street in Cleveland, is a designated Cleveland Landmark and the former residence of Olympic legend Jesse Owens. Built in 1898, the multifamily home stands as a powerful symbol of Owens’ journey from Cleveland to global acclaim at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where he defied racism and challenged Nazi ideology.
The Cleveland Restoration Society, in partnership with the owner of the property and community stakeholders. Together, we are mapping out a vision for the home to be a neighborhood asset.
